DirecTV just called to apologize for the outage of one HD local channel on Sunday that lasted for a few hours. I hadn't even called in to complain about it, but they apologized anyway. About 2pm yesterday the 23rd all my locals got pixelated, their audio broke up and they went off the air. After a couple of hours my non-Raleigh/Durham locals from Roanoke and Richmond, VA came back. I called DirecTV and was told there 'might' be a 'customer affecting outage' somewhere. 24 hours later I'm still getting 'searching for signal on 101' despite all transponders on all 3 satellites showing 90+ signal strength. Honestly, there is a part of me that should cut Peco a break, there were winds up to 80 miles per hour over the weekend, so a power outage should not have been a shock.
